Generative AI Manifesto 2026

I’m the first to admit: Generative AI is kinda trash. Take away the novelty, stop wondering for a second if it’s realistic and just ask: IS IT GOOD?

The answer is often NO. A lot of AI-Users/Developers are not artist and have no taste or understanding of art. Further a lot of the (male) “AI-Artists” seem to be only interested in generating pictures of young, attractive asian or caucasian women with large breasts and smooth skin. A majority of models has this weird male gaze built in.

The current use case of AI is an increase production volume with a loss in quality and specificity. I haven’t met any human that is eager to watch all that slop.

Still I didn’t want to be a Luddite and gave GEN AI a fair shot.

AND I LOVED IT!

There are so many creative options to enhance your creative expression (if you have any). With ComfyUI, I can create powerful imagine processing workflows and train my own LoRA-Models for specific shots and applications.

Currently I’m working with Mafalda Murta, a world class Oboe Player in Basel, on a music video that uses AI to enhance the visuals.

I am creating this music video under the GENERATIVE AI Manifesto 2026. It lays out the rules for an ethical AI production with real human creativity.

AI is obviously a great and powerful tool. It has real potential in science and medicine and also for image production. Just don’t pay attention to the prompt engineers cosplaying as artists, don’t be a sheep and don’t forget: There is no such thing as a free lunch.
